Counting down the days now to the Grab ‘n’ Grow event at Northchurch on Saturday 22nd April 10 to 2pm. Upper Allotments, New Road, Northchurch HP4 1NJ.

Buy plants to grow our won veg at home & join the seed sowing demos! Buy a selection of peat free, Sunnyside grown, veggie plug plants & herbs, take a tour of our market garden, refreshments available, free parking, music & vegetable trail (£3.00 per map). Tere are tasks do around t he site, you get a stamp when completed and a sunflower seed to plant when all finished

The Northchurch ‘multiply’ team had a fun bingo game to finish up on.

Litter picking over in Cow Roast this week were Ian, Michael, Gillian, Bismillah, Kian and Fabris.

 

Then Simon, Hayford, Jonny and Lee were mowing and strimming nearby.

Matt got his hands dirty with the team including Hollie, Nigel, Russell, Charli and Daisy busy potting on veg plants.

At Hemel Food Garden its all about becoming a bedding contract expert!

And some of the team were over in a sunny William Court, Apsley yesterday weeding, mowing & strimming.

The Activity Centre team had their regular contract work over in Bovingdon – mowing this time and then strimming.

Sophia, Paul & Kwasi’s turn to make lunch.

Future date for the diary. On the Coronation Weekend there will be celebrations and games, plus the usual Hemel Hempstead Old Town market on Sunday May 7th from 11 until 3pm. A team from Sunnyside will be there selling plants BUT also running the traditional games, which are all free to have a go at.

Also on Sunday, there will be stalls in the park/Old Town High Street and a live screening in the park of the Coronation concert from Windsor, plus films for all the family. Food and drink will be available.
