Trainees

At Sunnyside we operate across different locations in Dacorum, supporting over 170 trainees in an inclusive environment. Our diverse range of activities include horticulture, animal care, barista training, and community contracts.

We warmly invite new people to join our Sunnyside community. While starting somewhere new can feel a bit strange, we are here to ensure you feel welcomed and help you adjust.

Before you start, we will help you understand what we do and what our daily routine as a trainee looks like. You can find a copy of the trainee handbook here, that you can review on your own or with your parent/guardian/carer.

If you’re interested in arranging a tour day or a trial session with us, you or your parent/guardian/carer can assist by completing our referral form . On this form, you can:

• Decide how many days you wish to attend each week
• Request a link worker who will help you plan your time with us and identify any necessary support
• Raise any questions you may have
• Ask about the costs for attending Sunnyside (Social services may help you cover your fees or you may choose to pay for yourself.)
