Crack team from Hemel Food Garden back at Berkhamsted School last week. Henry consolidates his edging skills. Claudia supports and encourages the team. George enjoys the raking and rushes back with the last run to the compost. Joshua is working together with the group.

Back on site the team are collecting the glorious rich homemade compost. Made by mother nature with a little help from Sunnyside.

Outside contract gang in Adeyfield for a change. Weeding, prepping, planting and watering in new plants. Great work!

Alice has been working in the café, making Marianna sauce and washing up.

Making flower arrangements for the annual review meetings this week. Gorgeous.

Becca weeding the bed near the Activity Centre building which is undergoing a re-vamp. Good time of year to do this – especially when the sun is shining on you!

Busy making more reindeers for the market stall, shops and Christmas fairs coming up in December.

Tim, Robbie and Riz leaf clearing. Beautiful autumnal colours in the sunshine.

Picking pears this time. Makes a change to apples. There have been so many this year!

Gently does it. Seat being moved on site – team in step.

Lots of work at Northchurch removing the last runner beans and then the plants. There was a frost this week, so bean season is now officially over.

Sheep on the move and tempted on the way.

The new ‘big’ duck pond has been dug and now has its liner in. Waiting for the rain to fill it.

Preparing the space ready for the ducks to be moved in time.

Feeding time for the chickens. Cleaning the water trough – a regular job.

Adding fresh compost to the small trees in pots on site.

Nice weather and some rain means the grass is still growing. So, Michael & Bismillah have been off site working hard on contract work.

Come and get ‘spooky’ with us on Thursday 27th October, 11.00am to 1.00pm. Free Halloween activities at the Northchurch site. The farm shop & café will be open with spidery chocolate apples.

Sam had no one to play with, so found a plant pot to entertain himself!
