Fresh, Seasonal, and Local Veg Boxes

Are you in search of a veg box that’s fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced? From April to December, Sunnyside Rural Trust provides a veg box service. Supported by staff, our trainees grow and harvest a diverse range of vegetables, fruits, and herbs. Once harvested, our teams sort and prepare the produce, ready for you to enjoy.

Sustainable and Chemical-Free

All our produce is grown without chemicals, using environmentally friendly methods. Expect authentic food, which may include quirky shapes and the occasional blemish.

How It Works

When you subscribe, we’ll send you a weekly list of what’s in season. Simply reply with your preferences, and our Northchurch team will pack your chosen veggies, ready for collection.

Northchurch Farm Shop, HP4 1NJ: Wednesday from 12 PM
Hemel Food Garden Site, HP3 9BY: Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, 9 AM – 3 PM
Berkhamsted High Street Market Stall, HP4 3AP: Thursdays, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Supporting our Cause

By choosing our veg boxes, you also support individuals with learning disabilities. Sunnyside gives our trainees opportunities to gain valuable skills in various rural activities, including making jams, chutneys, and apple juice from our produce. Additional activities include beekeeping, caring for chickens, growing a wide range of plants and produce, landscaping, and garden maintenance.
