Sunnyside Rural Trust is a registered charity and has built an innovative model of care-based support around offering training and work experience to adults with Learning Disabilities, within a social enterprise and horticultural setting. Across our services we grow a range of fruit, vegetables, herbs, plants including a large number of bedding plants for Dacorum Borough Council, and perennial plants for a variety of local buyers, coppice wood, conservation projects and we have 2 farm shops and one cafe. We also look after pigs, sheep goats and chickens.
We are looking for an experienced cafe and farm shop manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Sunnyside Up Cafe & Farm Shop, leading the team to achieve sales targets and supporting/ training adults with learning disabilities in a hospitality and retail environment. We are looking for people who are passionate about improving the lives of people with Learning Disabilities and creating opportunities for them to develop.
The ideal candidate will need to be enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised. You will be working within a supportive team to help grow our cafes, shops and catering ventures. A background in hospitality and retail, with a proven track record of hitting sales targets and managing a team is essential. You should also have a problem-solving attitude, an eye for visual merchandising and be highly motivated and driven.
The salary for this role starts at £28,000 per annum, we also offer a range of attractive staff benefits and great development opportunities. This is a full time role.
