The Northchurch Monday group tidying up the summerhouse area which is a usual autumn job. They a re making a small formal area that will then merge with the wildlife meadow.

The Tuesday group moving compost at the cut flower contract in Wigginton. Good job team!

Sean is using one of the Northchurch homemade dibbers to plant the last of the beetroot seeds in the polytunnel. Hopefully these will be ready to harvest in March next year.

Happy Halloween! There’s nothing unlucky about black cats. Here are ‘Eyebrows’, ‘Crosseye’s’ and ‘Normal’.

The perennial garden in the courtyard has lots of lovely grass and teasel heads that we have our eye on for drying for the wreath event in December.

Halloween decorated cup cakes for the team & trainees from Sean’s mum – thank you.

A great display of pumpkins and squashes at the Thursday market in Berkhamsted from the Activity Centre. Accompanied by homemade *New* Spiced pumpkin jam.

Lots happening in Bovingdon with the Activity Centre teams. Cutting and transporting logs from Bovingdon Green. Ian Barrow was using the chainsaw to cut them down to a liftable size.

Railings were painted over a few days.

From this….

….to this.

So smart now.

Hemel Food Garden have been busy making Winter Hanging baskets with Izzy who is working towards her Silver DofE award. Good luck Izzy and great to have you aboard!

What a sight – a lone swan cruising in for a low zone look but just enough ‘run way’ to rise up over the fence and back to the canal! Phew…

Super planting of winter bedding at Berkhamsted school. Brilliant straight lines!

A well travelled, ‘Green Flag’ community award for 2020/21. Trainees took it in turns to show off the brilliance of the Hemel site.

And more fab pumpkins…

Starting on the Christmas decs and gifts – our famous robin decorations.

Jim has been working on Autumn bunting

And don’t forget the clocks go back one hour this Saturday night / Sunday morning

Until next week…..
